Hello Families! My name is Jenny, I am 25 years old and I am searching for a full time nanny position here in San Diego! I am highly qualified with over seven years of professional paid childcare experience. I recently moved back to San Diego after living in France for ten months and working as an au pair for a French family. I love working with children and I have found it to truly be my passion… I find providing support to families and watching children hit developmental milestones to be incredibly rewarding. I always keep a positive attitude, I am enthusiastic, responsible, and reliable. I am CPR/ first aid certified, trust line verified, I have a clean driving record and a clear background check. I am comfortable with children of all ages and multiples and would prefer to work with infants or toddlers at the time. I am also comfortable with light housekeeping duties such as dishes, meal prep, laundry, gardening, as well as running errands and other household management tasks.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I started working with children in high school through babysitting, camp counseling and working part time in a preschool while in college. Since then I have worked professionally as a full time nanny for three families, two of which were long term positions over 9 months and one for a shorter summer period. I have also worked with three more families since September 2021 as a part-time nanny, and recurring babysitter. I have worked with multiple other families in San Diego for date-night sitting and short term nanny positions, as well as overnight sits and multiple kids at a time. My last full time position was working as an au pair for a French family in France where I taught English to one of the three children living at home and assisted with other household tasks for the family. I have the most experience and passion for working with infants and toddler/ pre-k aged children. I have experience with baby-led weaning, establishing healthy sleep routines, baby sign, and potty learning.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy spending quality time with the children I nanny for, including reading books, imaginative play, and learning games for toddlers and older children. I especially love caring for infants, and everything that entails from bottle feeding, bathing, dressing, rocking to sleep, tummy time, and stroller walks. It is really special for me to see growth and development in babies and celebrate every milestone! I am also very active and enjoy spending time outdoors going for walks, or spending time at the beach and the park with children. With older children I love to do arts and crafts projects, cooking/ baking, and going to museums.

My experience with special needs children...

While I do not have experience working with any children with special needs specifically, I am extremely patient and compassionate and I am eager to learn more about working with these children and if needed, I am committed to staying up-to-date on best practices in special education.
