A little bit about me

I’m from Cincinnati. And love learning about biology, psychology, and foreign languages. My hobbies are gymnastics, reading, and drawing. I love kids and have lots of siblings/cousins that I’ve been watching since I was like thirteen. My mom was a nanny too so I grew up helping her out with kids. I’ve worked with disabled and/or traumatized kids as well. I’ve been on a few mission trips to help kids in orphanages too and always wanted to have a job helping kids since. On the mission trip I got trauma competent care training so I’m experiencing and training to work with traumatized kids as well. And my criminal and driving records are clean.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Babysitting, younger siblings, mission trips.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Art, visiting museums, learning in general but especially about foreign languages, going on walks, and playing sports.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Showing kids they’re safe and loved. It can be hard to learn when you don’t feel safe. I also like to remember that the person they grow up to be depends on the way we treat them now, being too hard on them can result in unfavorable outcomes when they’re older.

My experience with special needs children...

My little brother is disabled and I’ve been watching him around 3 days a week for 5 years now. My little siblings are my favorite people on Earth so I often go out of my way to watch them.

The most important part about being a nanny...

A three year old I’ve been watching for a while exclaimed, “I love Jersey!”, to me and gave me a kiss on the cheek unprompted haha so cute and sweet. I also like when I get to help ease children’s fear or pain, I remember how scared I was and how little control I had over my life when I was really little.

Jennifer A. - Seeking Work in Cincinnati

Babysitter Available in Cincinnati, OH: Jennifer A.

Hi there!
My name is Jennifer but you can call me Jenni.

I am 26 year old and graduated from Oak Hills high School in 2018 along with completing a few semesters at Cincinnati State College.
I recently left being Montessori teacher due to lack of staff and being severely underpaid.

I'm looking for a family that I can work alongside with to support the needs of their children along with lighthouse work and or meal prep.

I started child care in 2018 with a passion to promote physical, emotional, and social development in children.
One thing that is very important to me is that every child feels supported during a challenging emotional or social situation.

During my free time you'd probably find me cooking or baking, I love testing new recipes!
I'm also a huge music lover and love to create art.

Hello Families, I am a cheerful, positive and respectful person. I enjoy working with children of all ages. I am someone who loves the outdoors and believe that too much TV is never a good thing. Playing outside, playing games and encouraging children to use their imagination is something that I am passionate about. I love to cook and do not have any problems doing some light housekeeping (picking up after the children, doing dishes, occasional children’s laundry, etc.)
