A little bit about me

Hi! I'm Jessie, and I've been a professional nanny for around 5 years now. My previous four years have been spent travelling my bosses and homeschooling their two children as they go all around the world! Now that the kids are going to school and settled down, however, I moved back to the States.

I've worked with kids of all ages, and I genuinely think that each stage has their own positives. Whichever age group I am working with, there's bound to be music, games, laughter, and silliness.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have worked as a camp counsellor for eight summers. The previous four of which have been spent at an international summer camp for children who speak English as an additional language, or for those seeking to learn English. I also taught filmmaking classes to the campers during those summers.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I like helping kids create- stories, paintings, building with blocks, etc.

I also love museums and zoos, anything that makes learning fun, active, and accessible.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Adapting to each family seamlessly, and helping the kids grow up to be curious, brave, kind adults one day.

My experience with special needs children...

I've cared for children on the autism spectrum, with ADHD, with severe allergies, and with varying levels of emotional and social abilities.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I was traveling with two of my younger nanny kids from NYC to Dublin. We got hit with an unexpected extra two day layover in London due to the sheer amount of travel and flight delays during that weekend.

Because I used to live in London, however, I got to use those two days to show them around to all of my favourite places there. I took them to see the St. James park birds, the transport museum, the charity shops, the massive Peter Pan playground, and a bunch of tiny local shops. It actually ended up being a very special weekend for us and I'm grateful we had the opportunity.
