More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have childcare experience, working with children of various ages in diverse settings. As a Special Ed Tech, a daycare provider, I was responsible for daily care, safety, and development of young children in a home-based environment. As a nanny, providing one-on-one care, planning educational activities, and supporting the family’s daily routines.
As an after-school program leader, I supervised large groups of children, organized enrichment activities, and helped with homework support in a structured, engaging setting. As a preschool aide, assisting in classroom management, supporting early learning, and helping foster social-emotional development for children ages 3 to 5.
As a mother of two, I also bring personal, hands-on experience in nurturing, guiding, and supporting children’s growth and well-being.
These experiences have strengthened my ability to connect with children, remain patient and flexible, and create a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for learning and play.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy engaging children in activities that are both fun and educational.
Arts and crafts: creativity through painting, drawing, and hands-on projects.
Reading together: Storytime helps build language skills and imagination. Reading books aloud and asking questions to spark conversation. Making up our own stories and having them be creative.
Outdoor play: playing games, or just running around, I believe outdoor time is important for physical and social development.
Music and singing: Singing songs, in Spanish, with movement, brings joy to our time together. Doing yoga for children is a fun activity where they learn to communicate more effectively and regulate their emotions.
Learning games and activities: I like turning everyday moments into learning opportunities, such as practicing numbers, letters, or life skills through play.
Most of all, I enjoy creating moments that make children feel happy, supported, and excited to learn.

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is building a trusting, loving relationship with the child and their family. It’s not just about supervising or completing tasks—it’s about being a consistent, supportive presence in a child’s life. Creating a safe, nurturing environment where a child feels valued and understood helps them grow emotionally, socially, and intellectually.
As a nanny, you’re not only helping with daily care—you’re also helping shape a child’s sense of security, confidence, and curiosity. That responsibility is both meaningful and rewarding, it is what makes this job special.

My experience with special needs children...
I have hands-on experience working with children with special needs through my role as a Special Education Technician (Special Tech) at a school. In this position, I provided one-on-one support.
My responsibilities included assisting with academic tasks, supporting behavior plans, helping students develop social and communication skills, and ensuring they felt included and safe in the classroom environment. I collaborated closely with teachers, specialists, and families to help meet each child’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and to adapt classroom activities to their abilities.
This role taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement. It was incredibly rewarding to help students make progress both academically and personally. I’m passionate about inclusion and believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn and grow in a supportive environment.

The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments was caring for a sweet little girl who loved being sung to sleep. I would sing her lullabies in Spanish for nap time, and over time, it became a comforting routine for both of us. Watching her relax and feel safe enough to fall asleep to my voice was such a special connection.
What made it even more meaningful was how excited both children would get when I arrived each day—running up to me with a big smile and giving me the warmest hugs. It reminded me that the bonds we build with children go beyond routines—they’re built on love, trust, and consistency. Moments like those stay with you forever.

I am an active mother to three children. My eldest being nine, I have some years of experience. I am learned and well accustomed to tending to the many needs and complexities of children from infants to teens. I maintain a gentle approach and I have acquired some skills along the way including first aid, and general behavior and mood/emotional support. I am able to encourage and provide creative activities, projects, tasks, and imaginative play! My two younger children are boys ages 1 and 3 1/2. They will be included and present to the child care I am able to provide. They are bright and kind and well communicated. We have been providing regular weekly child care for a local child age two, since September of 2021. I am currently seeking a position with more hours available. I can be flexible, I am punctual and I own a reliable vehicle.
