A little bit about me

When I was a senior in high school, I became a full time nanny for a 10-year-old boy and stayed at his house M-F. I woke up, made him breakfast, took him to school, went to school myself, picked him up, took him to swim, went home and made dinner, finished homework and tucked him in. Due to his life experiences, he unfortunately suffered from night terrors, so that is something I have much experience with.
While in college, I worked with the United Cerebral Palsy of Southern Arizona as an Applied Behavior Specialist for a young girl with autism. I lived with the family on and off to ensure I was providing the best service possible.
After college I moved to Thailand to teach English for a year. After receiving my TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) I dove into a classroom of 3rd and 4th graders and absolutely loved it. Assimilating in a new culture as an educator is an experience I feel so grateful to have had. I believe traveling breeds creativity and enables personal growth.
