No need to look any further for a part time or full time nanny. I just moved back to Arizona to care for my Mother from Hawai’i. I have been taking care of children since I was 11yrs old, with experience with camp counselor, special needs, infants to teens and along with adults with special needs. I have done senior care included for over 4yrs experience. My major is Family Studies and Human Development and utilized this as I am now 39yrs old and a licensed massage therapist. I know how to be creative, engage, and understand the stages of development to best optimize their skills for any age group. I understand how hard finding a dependable nanny is, and one that doesn’t just “watch them” or have them “watch TV.” I was known as the adventure nanny, and mimic whatever schedule and wishes the parents may have. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been working with children since my youth (age 11), from camp counselor, babysitter, and after school program volunteer. This helped with which direction to go with my major in Family Studies and Human Development at The University of Arizona. During that time in college I worked for a nanny agency caring for infants-teens; beginning my work in healthcare and special needs care. I have worked with elderly, adults with developmental disabilities and/or in crisis, traumatic brain injury, adolescents with developmental disabilities and behavioral problems for about ten years now. The experience with all ages from infants to teens; along with caring for multiple children has absolutely been a blessing in my lifetime.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I was known as the adventure nanny, you name it let’s get off the screen time and get creative inside and outside.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked with special needs since I was in college, also extreme behavioral teens who were special needs for 3 years, and nanny care for 2 kids for 4yrs and one being autistic and fed thru a g-tube.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Was taking a 4month old on my back called koko crater stairs. We would hike that mountain 3x a week, by the time she was 3yrs old she was able to climb it all by herself. We competed in the koko crater stairs challenges. She won littlest Kokonut and I won the koko queen. Watching her love of nature grow, how kind and friendly she was to everyone who climbed. It was a proud moment as an “auntie” we like to say in Hawai’i. The love of hiking she had, and the beach from our adventures melted my heart.
