Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love engaging children with books, song, and toys, as well as teaching them more about everyday materials and helping them gain independence while using them. I also believe that some of the best learning comes from messy, open-ended activities where children are able to test their own ideas. These can be done indoors and outdoors, and I often encourage children to help with clean-up at their own level.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is providing consistent care to children as they grow and development. Nanny's are also important to families because it allows parents and caregivers the peace of mind, knowing that their child is comfortable and safe as they take on life's responsibilities.
My experience with special needs children...
I have cared for children with special needs in multiple classroom settings, as well as nannied for children with special needs. I am excited to learn about your child's disability and how I can best care for them.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moments are in the simple, everyday moments that can only happen through one-on-one interactions with children. For example, recently I had the pleasure of helping a child learn more about recycling. I offered her the chance to push the recycling container to the bin, and as I lifted her up to drop boxes into the bin she told me about "Mama recycle" and "Helping!".
