I babysit, one of my friends little girls. On night out, I'm there during the evening. Little piper is 4 so I have experience with toddlers. She's a handful but luckily I am very compassionate and understanding. I have studied and mastered the technique in soft teaching, so I'm extremely patient.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I'm very big on the outdoors, so walks on a nice trail to soak in some of Mother Nature, is my cup of tea. I'm also big on parks, I know the best parks in town! Also swimming, just sitting in the yard, or during the winter time snowmen and snow angles are a must!
The most important part about being a nanny...
I feel like the most important part of being a nanny is giving the child the same kind of care expected from a mother! Being compassionate and understanding of littles is extremely important. Sometimes it can be super frustrating being so small, or not being able to express yourself with words.therefore helping the children through daunting tasks or emotions is like one of the number one priorities under being an amazing role model and setting a great example.
My experience with special needs children...
When I was younger I babysat a little with autism. He was just under 2 years old. Not to mention I am also engaged to a high-functioning autistic man. When I was in school I used to volenteer in the special Ed room, doing crafts, and making food for all of the kids!
