The most important part about being a nanny...
To me is to not only care for the children for the little time that I have in their lives but to really leave a great impression on them as someone who was there for them and would truly listen to them. Someone to whom they truly mattered. It's all about that child, their safety and happiness for me.
My experience with special needs children...
for my freshmen year of college, I had the opportunity to care for a brother and sister who were both special needs at the age of 2 and 3 and it was such a joy. I cleaned, took care of them from morning till the parents came from work for about 4 months. It was rewarding seeing how started taking responsibility and behaving well and just being kids.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The love I get from the twins I'm caring for when I walk through the door, I'd get the biggest hugs and lots of screaming. No matter how bad my day was, that moment made up for it.
