A little bit about me

I am looking for a full-time nanny position (or part-time) if it fits my schedule in Nashville, TN. I live in Franklin, TN so proximity is a plus!
I’m 39 and have nannied part-time & full-time on and off for 8 years now. I have a 9 year old son, but he’s in school and my schedule won’t be impacted because his dad picks him up (I also am still available on some weekends as needed).

I moved to to Memphis temporarily where I took a COVID crisis travel nurse position (I’m fully vaccinated), and I ultimately retired from nursing after working through it! I am also a licensed aesthetician but really enjoy working with kids, and don’t plan on having anymore myself! I am CPR certified and have a corporate ran background check from the end of April I will happily give to you so you don’t have to spend your own money. I am a “level 4” so rest assured the background check is more than adequate as you must have fingerprints on file and an FBI/TBI check is run. It’s for my son’s field trips.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

As a former manager RN in the hospitals I worked children . I also provided both live-in and live-out nanny services. Caring for children in the church program child care centers is also something I frequently volunteer for.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Arts, crafts, being outdoors, flying kites, swimming, reading, coloring, music/dance, sports, vacations, Jiu Jitsu and martial arts, and much more.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Unconditional love for the child/children as if they were my own and supporting the parents in every way possible.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience with autistic children and children with sensory processing disorder. I am willing to take them to OT, ST, and PT appointments for the family as needed during the week and take highly detailed notes and/or videos to show the families what the therapists did, and what we can continue to work on in the house.

I also have experience with children who’ve been sexually abused by other distant family members and working with them and their families. As a nurse I’m trained to work with children in many areas and situations in a compassionate non-judgmental way.
