Hi!
My name is Jessica but everyone calls me Jess! Im 27 years old and a recent graduate from CSUCI with a degree in sociology. Caring for the youth has always been a huge part of my life. I helped two of my closest friends raise their children (from newborn to 5yrs old) & (newborn to 2yrs old). I also nannied for about 3-4 years now with 2 separate families (references provided upon request). I love watching these little ones grow & watching their personalities soar. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

As I mentioned previously, I’ve cared for a few children in my life. At a young age I helped raise my brother, I also worked as a care take for my grandmother who had dementia. My favorite place to be is surrounded by kiddos who are learning all about everything from their toes to talking to reading to learning who they are. I have a god son who’s now 5, but helped raise him with his single mother from the day he was born. I also helped take care of my god daughter who is now 2 from around the time she was 6 months.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Reading with kids is one of my favorite things to do.. Story time often takes us on an adventure beyond the pages. I also love to help with homework & studies. School has been such a huge part of my life & I have enjoyed it thoroughly. I also enjoy all things artsy and outdoors!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important thing about being a nanny is being alert, not only of the obvious safety & surroundings, but also of the child(ren)’s emotions & mental well being. I think having patience and an imagination is also up there with being an amazing nanny and role model.

My experience with special needs children...

I worked for the Oxnard school district as a para-educator. I supported multiple children with different needs with everything from life to education. It was a passion of mine to be able to guide them in the direction of success.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Out of all my favorite moments, big milestones & birthday celebrations are my favorite. Seeing the light in little ones eyes, them realizing their accomplishments or how loved they are by many, is truly heartwarming. I love watching them become/find themselves.
