A little bit about me

I am a 39 year old mother of 2 teenagers. I was a stay at home mom for 12 years and became a nanny almost 4 years ago when both my girls could stay home after school by themselves for a little bit. I have been with 1 family sisnxe then. From the time their baby was 3 months old and their oldest was 2 years old. Her youngest will be starting preschool in the fall so I am looking for a new family to help. I can clean and cook as needed. The older child I cared for was non-verbal and autistic. I helped get him on a schedule that promoted improvement and learning. I worked closely with his special needs teacher over the past 2 years. I have 2 teenage daughters and I am looking for a job that offers some flexibility. My oldest plays varsity volleyball and softball and I would like to be able to attend her games when in season. My youngest plays jv volleyball so her games will be the same as her sisters. I can start the 3rd week of August when my 2 children I care for now start school.

I think the most important part about being a nanny is having all my focus and attention on the kids. I do a lot of educational activities with the children I care for now and I know that will be super beneficial for them when they start school this fall.

I have so many amazing moments with the 2 kids I have been caring for but my favorite recently would have to be when my 3 year old asked if I made her toast for breakfast and I said absolutely, since she really likes peanut butter, she then said, "thanks gel (she is having a hard time with j's and s's) your such a good girl. Her personality is really starting to show and its super cute.
