I have gained childcare experience in multiple settings, including in-home nanny care, professional daycare work, and early childhood education coursework. These experiences have helped me develop strong skills in infant and toddler care, age-appropriate activities, and maintaining a safe daily routine!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I really enjoy hands-on learning activities. I love giving kids the chance to express themselves through crafts- whether that’s drawing, building, or creating with different materials. I focus on letting them explore freely and follow their own interests, rather than directing every step, so they can learn through their own experiences.

I also enjoy spending time outdoors with children, especially when the weather is nice. Outdoor play gives them a great way to learn, move, and use their imagination.

The most important part about being a nanny...

For me, the most important part of being a nanny is being a steady, caring presence in a child’s life. I take a lot of pride in supporting their growth- emotionally, socially, and developmentally. I love knowing that I can be like a second parent in many ways, someone they can trust, learn from, and feel safe with.

I value helping children express themselves, explore their interests, and reach new milestones. Creating meaningful memories with them is truly one of my favorite parts of the job. I also believe in building strong, positive relationships with parents so we can work together as a team to support their child!

Being a nanny is something I genuinely love. It’s an amazing role, and I feel grateful every time I get to be part of a child’s life and watch them grow:)

My experience with special needs children...

While I have not yet worked professionally with a child who has special needs, I do have personal experience through helping care for my younger stepsister, who is high-functioning autistic and non-verbal. Through this, I’ve learned the importance of patience, understanding, and reading non-verbal cues such as body language and behavior changes.

This experience has taught me how to communicate in supportive ways beyond spoken language, how to create a calm environment, and how to adjust activities to meet a child’s individual needs. It has also helped me build empathy, flexibility, and confidence in caring for children with unique communication styles!
