Hi I am Jewel, Some of my friends call me Jules. I have been babysitting/ nannying since 9 years old and I have always been into babies and kids since I was very little. I have always wanted to work in health care and I am now in Nursing school to become a midwife. I am certified in cpr and aed. I am very good with babies and kids I can always get them to smile even if they are upset or angry. I am always willing to learn and gain new skills. In high school I took curlinary arts so I am pretty good at cooking and I am a very organized person so I love cleaning and keeping things scheduled and organized. Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

In high school I was in a program where I was able to shadow at Saint Joesephs, UofM and the VA and I when I was in my rotation at labor and delivery I saw the birth of twins and I was able to help and stay as the mom was having a hard time and the father was a bit nervous so I told them about my care for children and gave him a few tips and pointers and wasn’t as nervous in the end.

My experience with special needs children...

I have cared for 3 children with Adhd and add and one with Autism. The boy with autism has trouble liking people and trusting people but after 1 day with him he was begging for me to come back and watch him. He struggles with school work and I was able to get him done with it within 10 minutes. There was lot of tears but talking him threw it and giving him confidence helped him to finish his work.
