Hi ! My name is Jewels and I am a new mommy to a baby girl. I have worked with kids my whole life, including help raising my little siblings. As a nanny I feel that it is important to have patience with children because kids can be a handful at times but if your willing to walk through the steps with them to make the situation better then it will make the connection between the nanny and the child strong.

My experience with special needs children...

At the Sunshine Daycare I worked with a special needs toddler. This job was much different then caring for the other children because you had to pay closer attention and you have to react in a certain way. When we would get ready for nap time the toddler would not take a nap and instead would scream and run around. As a teacher you have to approach the situation different from what you would normally do. So I found a way to distract him so that he would at least be quite enough to not wake the other children.
