I have two younger sisters, ages 16 and 11, and I help care for them daily, which has strengthened my patience, responsibility, and ability to engage with children of different ages. I’ve always enjoyed spending time with kids, whether it’s playing, helping with homework, or teaching them new things. Earning children's trust isn't always easy, but watching them slowly open up is incredibly meaningful to me. While volunteering at my church's 4th-6th grade program, several kids would share what they were going through, in those moments, I feel the responsibility to make them felt heard, supported and safe. Being someone a child trusts is something I truly value.
