The most important thing about being a nanny is ensuring the safety and well-being of the children in their care. This includes not only physical safety but also their emotional and social well-being. Nannies are also responsible for promoting and aiding in the children's development and learning.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my most special memories as a nanny was with a little boy named Charlie who was quite shy and introverted. Initially, it was hard to get him to interact or play, as he felt most comfortable in his own little world. However, I was patient, taking small steps everyday to enter his world instead of forcing him into mine. One day, we discovered a shared passion for art. We started spending hours drawing, painting, and creating fantastic imaginary stories from our drawings. The moment that melted my heart was when Charlie presented a colorful drawing of him and me, holding hands in a field full of flowers. His mom later revealed that he called it his 'happy world'. It reminded me why I chose to become a nanny – to positively impact the lives of the children I look after, fostering joy, creativity and confidence. The pure happiness I felt that day will always have a special place in my heart.
