A little bit about me

Hi everyone. I'm excited to be joining the group! I am a mother of two children, who are grown, and a JoJo (grandmother) to my best friend, my 4 yr old grandson. I have worked with children in the past teaching Pre K, children's church and as a private nanny. But for the past 7 years I have been employed a an insurance agent for a large independent agency in Gulf Shores, AL. I relocated to the Savannah area this past August and have decided that I would like to get back into teaching/caring for children. I would love the opportunity to introduce myself in person to the right parent or parents that are looking for a very loving, caring and active Nanny who enjoys crafts, reading, music, dancing and so much more! I believe in encouraging children to use their imaginations and having a new adventure each day with doing so. The best part of life is being a kid!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Since the age of 15 I have worked with children. I started as a personal nanny. As the years went by and my client's son grew older my services were no longer needed. I then worked at a home daycare. From there I went into teaching Pre K at Visions Preschool in Bay Minette, AL. I taught at the school for many years. I then became a personal Nanny to several of my students as they grew older until they started school. After that I decided to take a different path in life due to my own children's hectic sports schedule. I then became an insurance agent. My grandson was born in 2017. Since then my desire to work with children has been rebirthed. I have always loved children and watching them as they learn and discover new things in life. There is nothing more rewarding than when a child gets older and says that you had a positive impact on their life.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The positive effect you have in a child's life. I feel every role in a child's life is just as important as the parental role. Pouring positivity and love into a child is a must. Encouraging them to be who they are and constantly reminding them they are special and unique.
