I have experience caring for children from 2 weeks-7 years old in my home church from the age of 12-present (21) and I also have served in youth ministry (middle and high school) the last 3 years.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love teaching children to practice optimism and gratitude in all situations. I love taking kids out to the park, on a walk, playing outside, or doing crafts and reading inside. I really try to do my best to exercise kids' imagination and help them to have a mind that is always willing and wanting to learn, which can be done while having so much fun! I try to limit technology as much as possible, and instead, try to teach each child the value of genuine connection and empathy. I really do my best to adjust myself to each child and encourage them to try things out and find activities they find genuinely enjoyable and grow in character using those things so it is much more likely to stick with them when lessons are taught through what they enjoy.

I worked for a family who had three sons, they were 5, 2, and 6mo, the 5-year-old really has a difficult time attaching to people and my favorite moment is when he so clearly started to attach to me and let me teach and care for him. when his mom started telling me that he would be saying he liked me and was looking forward to when I would come over and a huge highlight is the first time his face lit up when I walked through the door and ran to me and gave me a big hug.
