My whole life i’ve baby sat the babies in my family and once I got older I started babysitting my 3 cousins a lot, they were 9, 7, and 3 and that gave me a lot of practice on watching multiple kids at once, now i’m working at an after school program where I watch kids in groups of 10+.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy playing any sports the kids are interested in, or any educational activities the parents might have. I also love looking up creative art projects where the kids can use their imagination and create something themselves.
My experience with special needs children...
At the school I worked at (Meridian Elementary) there are children with behavioral issues, and some children with autism and my technique when they are getting worked up is to take them away from the situation that is overwhelming them and just distract them and play with them.
