Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have volunteered through my hometown church for VBS and summer after-school programs for four years now. While there, I taught a group of 3-5-year-olds and helped with spelling, reading, and writing. I was also very involved in the 6-8 group, where I helped with multiplication tables, memorization, and long division. I also helped with field trips, meal preparation, cleaning, and theme day setups, including water days and themed VBS celebrations.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I am a person who loves the outdoors, so if the day is nice, I love to be outside. I am very open to going to parks nearby or even just sitting in the backyard. When it does come time that outside is a no no, I love to have movie days, play indoor games, and especially do crafting things.
My experience with special needs children...
I do not have much experience other than minor cases of autism.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moment as a volunteer was the time I was able to get one of my friends to write a full sentence for the first time. His smile lit up a room after he saw how excited I was.
