I love going outdoors, especially in nature, with children. I love movement and dance, so if they like to do that, great!. But whether it is art, building, painting, eating meals, reading, laughing, etc, I most enjoy finding what the child's interests are and helping them to feel seen and met on an emotional level.

The most important part about being a nanny...
I had two boys 4 and 8 years old, whose family allowed them to have "Yes" days: days when anything goes (well, as long as it was safe, reasonable, and grown up in charge was OK with it). One of their choices was to take a bath with their clothes on (!)- harmless, right?! but to them it was a major deal! (I requested that they didn't splash up the bathroom floor LOL) Luckily it was a warmer day in spring. It was a hilarious blast of a day and their parents and I cracked up about it a lot.
