I worked as a Youth Development Assistant through The Salvation Army working in their after school programs as well as day programs when school was not in session. My mom has also ran a daycare my entire life and I assist with that as needed.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
As an eagle scout I'm a huge outdoor enthusiast and so I enjoy taking children to the park, Taking them swimming and just being active both indoors and outdoors in general. I firmly believe that being active is very important, Especially while they are young because they don't realize it, but while being active they are making so many memories that they will forever cherish.
The most important part about being a nanny...
is being there for people when they least expect it. My goal as a nanny is to find a 2nd Family that I can be myself around. I want to find some children to do things with and to hang out with because let's face it, I'm a kid at heart. I want to help children be active and create memories while they are young and have opportunities because childhood goes by WAY too fast and if anybody should know that, It's me. I waited 12 years for a graduation and then didn't get one at all but I made a lot of memories along the way and I want to make sure that whatever family I find to take care of, that I help those children find who they truly are and that they have the most fun they possibly can while they are young.
My experience with special needs children...
Not Necessarily CHILDREN but the girl I dated in high school for 3 and a Half years had Cerebral Palsy and I do have ADHD myself and so I can say that I have some experience with Special Needs
