More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I volunteered in my high school’s special education room for all 4 years. I became very close with a girl with Autism.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

My favorite thing to do not only with children, but also by myself, is be outside! I know that sounds basic but there is nothing more relaxing than sitting outside on a blanket and enjoying lunch, painting, blowing bubbles, ect. I find most things are more enjoyable surrounded by fresh air and sunshine!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Patience. I cannot stress enough that nannying a child and teaching them, go hand and hand. Children get distracted! They’re curious! You have to be patient!! Beautiful things happen when you step back and let them figure things out themselves.

My experience with special needs children...

I do not have much 1 on 1 experience with specials needs children. I have volunteered with Autistic children in high school. My cousin also has Autism and I did care for her daily. Though I do not have much experience with diagnosis other than Autism, I am willing to learn!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I nannied for my little cousins for almost 2 years. My favorite moments with them have to come from our daily dance parties! I love the dance moves kids churn out when their favorite jams come on!
