More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Along with 12 years of experience in the medical field, including work as a CNA and dental assistant, I have also provided care for children in supportive and nurturing environments. I worked in the childcare center at my church for 5 years, where I cared for children and helped create a safe, positive, and engaging environment. My healthcare and childcare background has strengthened my skills in patience, attentiveness, communication, safety awareness, and providing compassionate care. I enjoy helping children feel comfortable, supported, and engaged while creating an environment where they can learn, grow, and thrive.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy engaging children in activities that are both fun and developmentally enriching. I love reading together, doing arts and crafts, playing imaginative games, and spending time outdoors exploring and staying active. I also enjoy helping with homework and encouraging learning through patience, creativity, and positive reinforcement. My goal is always to create activities that keep children engaged, supported, and excited to learn while making sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for.
The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, the most important part of being a nanny is building a trusting, safe, and loving relationship with each child while supporting their emotional, physical, and developmental needs. It’s about being consistent, patient, and attentive, and creating an environment where children feel secure, understood, and valued. I believe strong communication with parents is also essential so that care is aligned and the child’s needs are always fully supported. Above all, being a nanny means showing up with genuine care and helping children feel happy, safe, and confident as they grow.
My experience with special needs children...
In my role as a dental assistant, I have worked closely with children with special needs, including those with sensory sensitivities, anxiety, and developmental differences. I provided calm, patient, and compassionate care while helping each child feel safe, supported, and understood during their visit. I learned to adapt my communication style and approach to meet each child’s individual needs, often using reassurance and gentle guidance to help reduce stress and build trust. This experience strengthened my ability to remain patient, attentive, and responsive while providing individualized care in a way that helps children feel comfortable and secure.
