More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have previously worked as a part time nanny for a family 3-4 days a week. I would assist with meals, bathing, play time, and lessons at times; the children were all homeschooled so I would work with their curriculum as well as the other children who came for class (other students as well as their cousins). After I had relocated, I began to work for Urban Youth Impact. This is an organization that assists children from pre-k to 6th grade, with a faith basis (church services two-three times a week). While I was employed with urban youth I had worked with all age ranges to supervise lunch, recess, as well as I worked as an assistant teacher there; for that portion of the job I would teach lessons in English and math as needed as well as I assisted in tutoring the kids. These opportunities both allowed me to grow close bonds with the kids to the point where their families still reach out with appreciation, which of course makes my day!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
From experience, I’ve learned kids truly do love hands on experiences; with boys we get right outside and active and when it comes to the girls- baking, crafts, and personal girl time is always the best. It is also always enjoyable to have a nice day at the park or going to events that are not just educational but fun for the kids. Creating memories while building them up as individuals is always extremely important, especially during these building phases of their lives!

One of the girls I had previously nannied/babysat for had grown extremely comfortable around me to the point where she came to me for everything and called me her big sister ( of course would put a big smile on my face); eventually when it came the time she was graduating from kindergarten heading on to the big leagues, she had asked her parents if I could make it to her graduation ceremony. Once she saw me in the crowd the smile, excitement, and the big wave to me was enough to make a grown women cry. To be someone a young girl looks up to and appreciates is always heartwarming.
