Safety and security for the children. Not just the parents need to feel secure with their nanny, but the children do as well. There should be a balance of fun and adherence to safety.

I have worked in a daycare with children with special needs ranging from physical (cerebral palsy) to learning and more (ASD, dyslexia)

was when one of my ASD kids who was mostly nonverbal finally learned my name on the last day.
