I love coming up with new and engaging activities to keep the kids entertained while learning at the same time! It’s the best challenge to find fun activities based on a child’s special interests or developmental stages.
My experience with special needs children...
I have personal experience with individuals with special needs, particularly autism. My 16-year-old brother has autism and is homeschooled, and I also have two close cousins on the autism spectrum. Growing up with family members with autism has given me a strong understanding of the importance of patience, compassion, flexibility, and recognizing individual needs.
Additionally, I have experience working with elderly individuals with conditions including cerebral palsy, dementia, and more. These experiences have helped me develop strong communication skills, adaptability, and a compassionate approach to caregiving.
I understand that every individual has unique needs, and I strive to provide a safe, supportive, and understanding environment where they feel comfortable and respected.
