More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have several years of experience caring for children through my work as a nanny and as a mother to my own 3-year-old. I have also worked as a travel CNA, where I supported families and children in various care settings. In addition, I’ve volunteered with community events involving children’s activities, providing a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Outdoor play — parks, nature walks, backyard games
• Arts and crafts — painting, coloring, building projects
• Reading books and encouraging early literacy
• Sensory play — playdough, water play, sensory bins
• Educational games and puzzles
• Baking simple recipes together
• Music and dancing for movement and fun
• Imaginative play — dress-up, pretend kitchen, building forts

The most important part about being a nanny...
For me, the most important part of being a nanny is building a genuine connection with each child and their family. It’s not just about supervising — it’s about creating a safe, loving, and consistent environment where children can grow, explore, and feel valued. I believe trust, patience, and open communication are the foundation of great care, and I strive to be someone children are excited to see and parents can rely on completely.
My experience with special needs children...
I have extensive experience caring for children with a variety of special needs, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, ADHD, and developmental delays. My approach is rooted in patience, compassion, and adaptability, ensuring that each child feels valued, supported, and understood.
I’m skilled at adjusting activities and routines to match each child’s abilities, interests, and comfort level. This includes incorporating sensory-friendly play, adaptive equipment, and communication strategies tailored to the child’s needs. I also work closely with parents, therapists, and educators to follow care plans, reinforce therapy goals, and maintain consistency at home.
Caring for children with special needs has taught me the importance of celebrating every milestone — big or small — and creating a safe, joyful space where they can thrive.

Full-Time Nanny Available in Wichita, KS: Jessica J.
Hi! I’m Jess, your Jesus-loving nanny. Caring for children is my calling. I’m passionate about nurturing their development through fun, structure, learning, and creating an atmosphere where their hearts can flourish. It’s both a privilege and purpose. I’m 26 years old, and my biggest dream is to one day be a mom.
I studied K–6 Education with a minor in Children’s Ministry at Barclay College and have served in children’s ministry for over 5 years. I left my preschool teaching role to grow my faith-based photography studio, but my heart stayed on children.
Whether it’s Danny Go, finger-painting, walks, or sensory bins, I aim to be intentional, joyful, and present. I want to be someone they feel safe, happy, and uplifted by. One of my greatest joys has been watching the twins I care for grow—learning their letters, reading, writing their names, and singing about Jesus. My goal is to gently and consistently include the love of the Lord in our daily rhythm and see them grow!

I have babysat regularly throughout High school and then I have worked in several daycares, Elementary schools, and at Chuck E. Cheese as well. I have taken online classes to get certificates in many Child Care courses.
