More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I started off as a babysitter at 16 and became a nanny at 19, worked in a daycare as well then transitioned over to college and have been working on and off as a substitute teacher and now Music Director of Medford HS but want to transition back into Nanny work. I m EEC certified as well.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy going to the park, museums, local activities, play based learning, cooking/baking w/ children (age appropriate), playing board games, watching movies, and reading books!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Knowing that you are raising not only a child but a future adult. You are teaching them and showing them how to be functioning members of society and you do that through loving them, protecting them, teaching them, letting them struggle and figure things out but in a safe space they know they have a soft landing. Its our job to ADD to the lessons and values that parents instill in them.
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with special needs kids of all ages. Specifically Autism, Down Syndrome, Anxiety and Type 1 Diabetes
The most important part about being a nanny...
My fav nanny moment is when I had just started with this family and the little boy wasn't a big fan of me and it took a long time ti build that trust and relationship with him. Some time passed and we were getting along but then I had to get surgery so I took a month off and I was so worried we would lose all the progress we made. My first day back I picked him up from school and he ran into my arms and put his head on my shoulder and said "I missed you so much Miss. Jovia". I cried. They eventually moved away but to this day he still calls me once in a while or his mom sends photos of him and I am so grateful for continuing to work through the moment.

Babysitter Available in Medford, MA: Pietra D.
My name is Pietra, and I am Brazilian. I have been living in the United States for the past five years, which has helped me become adaptable and connect with children and families from different backgrounds. I am dedicated, hardworking, and passionate about supporting children’s development.
In my childcare role modeling experience, I consistently demonstrate positive behaviors such as kindness, patience, responsibility, and respect. I have earned certificates in CPR/First Aid, child development, and Mandated Reporter training, which prepare me to provide safe, knowledgeable, and responsible care while recognizing and reporting any concerns about a child’s well-being.

Babysitter Available in Medford, MA: Abigail P.
I'm Abby! I just moved to Boston with my husband. I love children and being able to do life alongside them! I provide kind and nurturing care while also caring for the needs of the family through cleaning or meal prep. I've worked in a variety of childcare settings: babysitting, preschools, and volunteering. Most recently, I've worked with youth for the past 2 years at a church in SC.
I would love to be part of a family (or nanny share) that desires a long-term nanny. I do not currently have cpr or infant training but am open to receiving training! Reach out to me if you would be interested in talking more.
