I have spent several years working directly with children as a Florida licensed teacher and, more recently, as a Child Protective Investigator. Teaching gave me daily, hands on experience supervising children, building routines, managing behavior, and supporting learning and emotional development. Becoming a parent deepened that experience and sharpened my understanding of children’s needs outside of a classroom setting.
As a Child Protective Investigator, my focus shifted to child safety and well being in real life situations. I worked directly with children and families, assessed safety, recognized risk, and responded calmly and thoughtfully in high responsibility environments. These experiences reinforced the importance of consistency, clear boundaries, and attentive care.
Together, these roles have shaped how I care for children: present, observant, structured, and genuinely invested in their well being.

Activities I enjoy doing with children include reading together, arts and crafts, creative play, and outdoor activities that allow them to move and explore safely. I enjoy supporting learning through everyday moments, such as counting, conversation, and play based activities, while also helping children build independence with routines and self care skills. I value structured activities as well as unstructured play, and I enjoy creating calm, engaging environments where children feel comfortable, confident, and supported.
