Considering I am studying to be a teacher, I have spent lots of time caring for children in that field! I have also worked as a head summer camp counselor, summer school teacher, and middle school cheerleading coach. I have a resume available if requested!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I think it’s very important for children to spend time playing outside! The act of play is incredibly important to a child’s development so as a nanny, going to the park or on walks would definitely be a near daily activity! In the event it’s not very nice outside, indoor play with boardgames or immersive activities is the way to go!
My experience with special needs children...
I have been a nanny for a child with a few different needs. That particular child has ADHD and a social/emotional disorder which caused her to struggle regulating her emotions and impulses. I have also spent time as a substitute teacher for a special education preschool classroom!
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment or experience would have to be when I was brought on a family vacation to care for their newborn and 2 children under 10. We had a blast going to the pool and enjoying the nice weather!
