More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I’ve babysat for multiple families in both SWFL and Connecticut, ranging from newborn to 15 years old, including those with disabilities & behavioral issues. This past summer, I nannied full-time for 7 year old triplets, and throughout high school and college I was sitting for 4-6 older children at a time! I also have 2 nieces, who are 2 and 4 (you might notice Charlie in my profile photo!), and are my whole world! Being their aunt has provided me with much more experience such as overnight care and becoming even more comfortable caring for younger ages! I was part of the unified sports program at my high school, and have worked with special needs children outside of that program as well for many years. I am also a singer and piano player. Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love spending time outdoors such as swimming, going on walks, hikes, etc. I also have a passion for music, and I play the piano, ukulele & am a professional singer. My mom is an elementary school teacher, so I also love crafts, fun games & education activities I can do with kids as well! I am very imaginative, and love to help the kids I nanny find ways to use their imagination in fun, safe and educational ways!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny to me, is not only creating strong relationships and showing kids true understanding, trust & compassion, but watching them learn! I love watching the kids I’ve had the chance at babysitting learn new things! Seeing the lightbulb go off in their head & their excitement when they do something on their own, or learn something new is always so rewarding to me!
My experience with special needs children...
I have cared for children with ranging needs such as autism, ADHD, anxiety, down syndrome, cerebral palsy, etc. I’ve also worked with children who may have behavioral issues or past trauma, and I am very experienced in working with a specific child to fit their needs and what makes them most comfortable. I’ve also worked with children who are non-verbal, and have never had any issues I couldn't handle, especially when it comes to making sure they are comfortable, learning and having fun!
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was most definitely when I came home from my first year at college and reunited with the family of 4 kids I had babysat for 3 years! I have never felt 4 hugs so big, and seen so many happy tears from my favorite kiddos ❤️ Even though they’re almost in high school now, I still take them out to lunch & see their family whenever I can! Being a babysitter isn’t temporary for me, it’s lifelong! I will have these kids backs for as long as i’m here!
