Hello! My name is Julia Van Buskirk. I am 20 years old and am from Southern California and have lived there almost my whole life. I have gone to one year of college and lived in Uruguay for 9 months. I am fluent in Spanish and English and enjoy speaking in both languages! I am currently studying to become an elementary school teacher. I love working with kids and have been doing so almost my whole life! I love the outdoors and doing anything I can to be in fresh air and in the sunshine. I have worked with kids for several years now. I babysat for 6 years while in middle and high school. I still have an occasional babysitting job while I am in my hometown. I taught piano lessons and music theory to children ages 5-14 for 6 years, until I graduated from high school and moved away to college. I also worked in the primary and nursery at my church.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to do arts and crafts while babysitting or having them prepare sweet treats. I have several treats that can be prepared without worry for harm for the kids! I enjoy doing things outside like learning to care for a garden or going for a nature walk. I enjoy playing games that use their imagination or (if old enough) playing a fun card or board game. I love to try new things and try whatever the kids would like to do.
