One of my most meaningful experiences was helping a family friend’s son begin to speak. It took time, patience, and consistency, but my grandma, myself and my siblings worked closely with him through everyday interaction, encouragement, and support. The moment he finally started using his words was incredibly special, it felt like all that effort and care truly made a difference. Seeing his confidence grow and being part of that milestone is something I’ll always cherish. It reminded me how important patience, understanding, and genuine connection are when caring for children, especially at a young age.
