A little bit about me

Ever since my first job as a babysitter, I have loved working with and learning from kids! From babysitting to nannying to “playing mom” while parents went on work trips or vacations, I have experience with ages 0-15, with 15+ years of experience! I work part-time from home as an independent consultant for a health and wellness company, but also want to help bless and be blessed by a family and continue to do childcare on the side of my current business. I love writing, art, reading, organizing, and wellness! I am a retired Collegiate Track and Cross Country runner. I have served a full time 18-month mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints! My desire is to “leave a home better than I found it”.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Over the summers for a week at a time while parents went on work trips/ vacations. (I have “played mom” and stayed with the kids!) I’m open and happy to doing this anytime as well!

Puzzles, scavenger hunts, reading, going to the park, board games, etc.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Talking WITH children and not at them. Helping children to feel they are heard and that they matter! Learning from them and with them. (Repetition is key.) Example… working on manners, improving habits, cleaning time, reading time, play time, art time.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I was able to stay with a family of kids while their parents went on a trip. I got to take them and pick them up from school, and before school, we would read the scriptures together! It was such a neat experience seeing how much brighter their days were when they started off by reading the word of God. That has truly stuck with me!
