is setting an example but also being there for them. A nanny is not just a one time and done type of job- it is very powerful and means a lot to the kids as well.
My experience with special needs children...
I have multiple cousins with down syndrome and are on the autistic spectrum that I have cared for. Not a lot of experience here- but nothing I cannot or refuse to be apart of.
The most important part about being a nanny...
is when a couple closed off and scared kids finally opened up to me after weeks of them shutting me out because they were scared of getting attached to someone who would eventually leave them like everybody else.
