I nannied for a professor at the University of Tennessee while I was a student there. I watched over a 8 year old boy, 6 year old girl, and 3 year old boy. I also did housework and homework with the children. I also worked weekends in highschool as a babysitter for multiple families ranging from 1-4 children and ages 3 months to 14 years old.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love outside time with children, including the park, bike rides, the pool, and even some outdoor crafts. I am not huge on screen time, although I follow parent wishes, so indoor play of Hide and seek, arts and crafts, and board games are always fun. I encourage children to “make believe” playtime and using their imagination.

The most important part about being a nanny to me is making sure the children and family feel safe. It’s hard to let a stranger into your home to be with your children. I want all my families to know I see them and value them as my own. Every child matters to me and none will ever feel left out or not as loved as the others. I strive to be a safe space for little ones that they know they are always welcome to.

My favorite nanny moment would be when I picked them up from school on Halloween and took them trick or treating! I loved getting to help them with their costumes and running house to house!
