A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Kailey, I am 23 years old, and from St. Louis, Missouri. I’m currently in college full time! I grew up the youngest of three kids and after my parents both remarried, I gained four incredible siblings who I am remarkably close to! Growing up in the middle of four older siblings (two girls, two boys) and two younger sisters is one of the parts of my life I am so thankful for. My oldest brother is also the father to my two nieces! The older one was born when I was 15 and the second, I saw her and held her for the first time, I felt like I finally knew why I was put on this planet. As she grew and I helped her walk and talk, I realized that a child’s laughter and smile was one of the best things to exist. I never knew I could love a person as much as I love her, and that feeling for the children who I have been lucky to care for and meet has grown exponentially. My younger niece is now three, but being around her only reminds me of how important children are to life.

I have had many titles in childcare. I started off as an occasional babysitter in high school, and then moved into working as an assistant teacher in a daycare. Then I was a full-time nanny and when my time was up, I started becoming a live-in nanny in various places from small town Illinois to Hawai’i to Tennessee!
