The most important part about being a nanny...

The thing that matters most to me is making sure the children I am caring for feel heard and important. I want to make them feel like they have a voice, and that there voice matters. I believe its important to show them the same care and love that there parents would, and to make sure there day has been made at least once. I love making kids feel special and worthy:).

My experience with special needs children...

My cousin is special needs, and I love her more than anything. Watching her grow up even when we are miles apart has been the most heartwarming thing to watch. Seeing how extraordinary her heart is, and how genuinely smart she has gotten is the greatest thing. I have learned how to calm her down and what things set her off by watching her actions. Because of this we have grown a special connection, and even though we are miles apart, it will always be there.
