I’m Kaitlyn!
I recently moved to the area from Brooklyn, NY and currently work full-time as a Client Care Manager for a home care agency. I’ve always been drawn to caregiving in all forms, and while I now work with older adults, I’ve spent over 10 years as a nanny, tutor, and travel caregiver for families.

I have a degree in Counseling and Human Services, and a real love for helping people feel safe, supported, and encouraged - especially kids! I’ve worked with children of all ages, including those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and always aim to create a warm, engaging environment where they can thrive.

I’m reliable, fun, and bubbly, and I really enjoy getting to know each child’s unique personality. Whether it’s arts and crafts, outdoor adventures, or quiet reading time, I love finding ways to make the day special.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children includes over 10 years as a full-time and travel nanny, working with kids of all ages, including those with special needs. I supported families with daily routines, travel, and everything in between.

Activities I enjoy doing with children include arts and crafts, reading, outdoor play, baking, and creative games. I used to run the programming department at a senior living community, so planning fun, engaging activities is second nature to me… from hands-on projects to themed events and even kid-friendly movement or exercise! I love keeping things fun and active!

The most important part about being a nanny is building trust and creating a safe, loving environment where kids feel heard, valued, and free to be themselves. It’s about being patient, reliable, and truly present, so you can support their growth and make a positive difference short term and long term.

My experience with special needs children...

My experience with special needs children includes nannying for a family with a child on the spectrum, which taught me a lot about patience, communication, and routine. In college, I also ran a Best Buddies club, where I worked closely with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Those experiences really shaped my approach to caregiving -
meeting each person where they are and supporting them in a way that feels respectful and empowering.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was when I set up a full pretend salon day with stations - hair, nails, makeup, the works! And we followed it up by baking treats for a tea party. The kids were so into it, and it turned into a whole afternoon of laughter, creativity, and pretend play. It’s one of those days I’ll always remember!
