Hi! My name is Kaleece Curtis, I am 18 years old and I am newly graduated. Firstly, I love kids, I love to always be someone any child will feel comfortable playing with or talking to. I also have a very soft spot for babies, my whole life has been filled with taken care of children, since I have such a big family and many little cousins. Recently, my sister gave birth to my nephew a few months ago and I was there helping every step of the way. No matter if it’s feeding, changing, putting him to sleep, or comforting him. I am very soft spoken and am very heavy on gentle parenting when it comes to taking care of children. I have babysat all of my younger cousins at one point for hours a day. I know what it feels like to have someone so small that you brought into this world mean so much to you. A have done sports med two out of four years of high-school, so I am very hands on deck when it comes to first aid and CPR. Overall, I would be very blessed to take care of any child.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have taken care of all of my younger cousins and my infant nephew. Now that my younger cousins are 7-13 I have much experience talking and playing with older kids. I’ve babysat my infant nephew for days straight, morning to night. Changing, feeding, putting to sleep, and monitoring his sleeping and eating.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love going on walks. I’m very active so whether it be with them right by my side or a child in a stroller I will always be open for walks. I also love playing hide and seek and doing fun water activities. I LOVE karaoke, i feel it really lets a child tap into their more creative side. Coloring, painting, and dancing will always be my go to if they want something more hands on.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The MOST important part about being a nanny is being a safe space for a child. I don’t want to just be a nanny to them, I want them to feel comfortable enough to where they feel free to be there complete selves with no judgement and no fears about how I will react. I want to love them the way I would love my own family members and always give my 100% heart and full commitment to them.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My FAVORITE nanny moment is when I got the kid I was babysitting to finally jump in the pool when she was so scared at first. I encouraged her to be brave and try new things and be with her every step of the way. That was a really special moment for me to be able to see her face her fears.
