Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked as a teacher's assistant for 4th and 5th graders. I used to work for a summer camp for 3 summers where I was a camp counselor and lifeguard for teenagers and as a helper for families with their children. I worked for an organization where I solely worked with middle and high school kids in their schools and at a camp where I was their leader.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I'm super big on being outside! I play and enjoy almost every sport. I love art and cooking and am very big on having kids help with food (if they want to and enjoy it and want to learn). While I enjoy watching a movie or some tv, I would rather find an activity to do and/or be outside playing.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being present with the kids. Making sure they feel seen and loved by a stranger and feel comfortable around me.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked with kids with Down syndrome and mild autism before. I don't have very much experience, but I love kids with special needs and have a passion for helping them.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I spent 2 weeks as a live-in nanny while the parents were out of the country. They have 4 kids and it was around Christmas time. We spent one entire weekend decorating the house for Christmas while blasting Christmas music, making Christmas cookies, and having full-blown Christmas movie nights with matching pajamas and all the Christmas-themed snacks you can think of. We had so much fun!
