More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have done many volunteer work with children over these past four years of high school. I've worked at swim meets for 8 and under, I worked at stadium drive, Carpenter Elementary, and other organizations. I've been babysitting a family of 5 kids; youngest was 6 weeks, at the age of 9 years old.
I also worked at aqua tots for 19 months. It was an amazing experience to teach little kids how to swim. I learned a lot from that job. I learned leadership, team work, having fun while being safe, and patience.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love doing a lot of activities: Indoor- Reading, games, blanket forts, baking, movies, drawing, wrestle, literally anything.
Outdoor- hiking, picnics, walking, park, playing soccer or other sports, riding bikes, also literally anything.

The most important part about being a nanny...
Safety is the number 1 thing for me. They have to be safe. Yes, having fun and doing your responsibilities is important as well. But safety is the number 1 mandatory.
My experience with special needs children...
I have a cousin who happens to be autistic, and I'm older than him. So I've always been the one taking care of him. Kids with disabilities are still kids, they're just kids. So I still give them the attention they deserve, along with doing any extra things to make them feel safe and comfortable.
Also, when I worked at Aqua Tots, I have special needs children everyday. They're just another kid. I don't look at them any different. They're still there to learn the survival skill of swimming; and that's what matters.

Full-Time Nanny Available in Orion Township, MI: Sarah B.
I’ve worked in Early Childhood Development professionally in some capacity since 1998. I did briefly try corporate America, but quickly realized my heart is in working with children and families. For the past 17+ years, a nanny and family assistant. I’ve worked long-term with seven different families, all of which would describe me as dependable, fun, committed, safety-focused, and kind.
In addition to providing attentive, developmentally appropriate care, I handle all child-related responsibilities as well as family laundry, meal planning and preparation, and a full household reset each evening.
I implement a loose curriculum centered around learning through play. I create lesson plans, display the children’s work, and share frequent photo updates throughout the week. I feel it is important that children are given the opportunity to learn about their community and practice social skills by going on adventures outside of the home.
