My foundation in early childhood care was built during my time as a Teacher Assistant at Hey Diddle Diddle Daycare in Saint Peter, where I supported the daily safety, well-being, and healthy development of young children in a licensed childcare environment. I provided guidance throughout daily activities, meals, and transitions, ensured full compliance with Minnesota state childcare regulations, and communicated regularly with parents and supervisors.
My experience with older childcare comes from working as a Youth Enrichment Counselor during summer camp, where I supervised groups of 15 to 20 children aged 11 to 12. In this role, I was responsible for maintaining a safe, structured, and nurturing environment. I helped plan and lead engaging daily activities, designed to build teamwork and personal development.
I also participated in the Big Partner Little Partner program at my college, where I was the Big Partner for a 10-year-old boy for six months.
