A little bit about me

Hi I'm Kandis. I've been working professionally with children for over 10 years now in various settings. I worked with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers in childcare centers, their own homes, and vacation camps. I've been working with elementary, middle, and high school students in the summer during residential camp, most recently as their Adventure Program Director. During the school year I would work with those groups of students in outdoor and environmental education settings where I facilitated their social-emotional, physical, group, and critical thinking development and learning with games and challenges.
I enjoyed all the work I've done, however most of it was seasonal. I'm looking for a more permanent role with full-time hours. I'm looking to find a family who will encourage outdoor exploration and play just as much as indoor. I'm excited to create customized curriculum for children based on their interests and developmental needs.
