Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was a daycare teacher for autistic kids. I would care for 8-13 kids at once and make sure they were in a clean and safe environment! I also have other families from NWA that I would nanny for :)
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Activities I enjoy with children are going to the library together or taking them to a museum. I would take them out on a picnic and enjoy the nature. We would walk around town eating an ice cream cone. We would also paint and just do the fun learning experiences.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Being patient, kind, lovable, and understanding. Kids sometimes do things that we question but we have to understand why they do some things whether it’s good or bad. You are there to guide them as a nanny but also giving them unconditional love since we are the ones spending time with them. They also need to be comfortable with you and vise versa.
My experience with special needs children...
I have cared for non verbal children and low and high functioning autistic children. With a set of instructions I am more than capable of caring for any special need kids. They need patience and love and I have more than enough to spare.
The most important part about being a nanny...
They can be so silly without intention. Kids are so pure and innocent. It’s so sweet when you are there when they meet a milestone.
