Hi! I’m Karla, a recent graduate from Rice University with a B.S. in Bioengineering. I’m currently preparing to apply to medical school and looking to support a family as a nanny, tutor, and private educator.
I have experience working with children and teens through volunteering and clinical settings, and I genuinely love building meaningful connections with them. I enjoy engaging kids in conversation, encouraging curiosity, and creating a supportive environment where they feel confident and heard.
I’m not looking to simply supervise your children. I aim to actively engage, teach, and enrich their daily experiences. I can assist with homework and tutoring in math, science, reading, and study skills, and I enjoy planning screen-free activities such as STEM experiments, arts and crafts, outdoor play, baking, museum trips, and reading.
