I have volunteered in church as a youth group leader. I cared for multiple children and ensured all of the children happy and engaged. I have worked in my local gym, in the child care sector. In this setting, children ranged from all ages. My duty was to ensure the children were safely watch over.

I know what it means for a young child to have someone invest time into playing their favorite game or reading books with them. Childhood is delicate and it is important for children to feel cared for and comfortable. I enjoying playing along in what ever activities the child may enjoy whether it be sports, arts, or music related.

My experience with special needs children...
In my middle school years, I was a part of a buddy program. Each student was assigned a special needs student partner to play with during GYM, art and music classes. I did this all 3 years of middle school and made great friends with my buddy who had Down Syndrome. It was an honor to be his buddy and we kept in contact later when he came to high school.
