A little bit about me

Hi, I’m Kat! My experience began in the Boy Scouts of America as a counselor, and my area of focus at my magnet high school was early childhood education. I’ve participated in and lead youth leadership training courses for the BSA and for the Family Career and Community Leaders of America. Service is a part of who I am, and these organizations granted me the skills to efficiently, compassionately, and responsibly serve the best interests of the children I care for. I was a part time teaching assistant for 2 years at a pre-school where I helped with classroom organization, homework, mealtimes, and more. I received my BFA in musical theater in May of 2020. I’m always looking for ways to integrate my passion for early childhood education with my passion for music and the arts. One day I’d like to teach music to children with special needs and to those who have limited access to arts in their communities. For the past year I’ve been nannying a 10 year old boy!
